Amarinder scored a self-goal

captain_amarinder_singh

The infighting within the Punjab Congress has been going on and the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee President Capt Amarinder Singh making statements that the party is not divided.

Amarinder Singh scored self-goal as he openly made a statement to the media that the Punjab Congress is all set to clip the wings of the influential factions’ leaders within the party.

As per the information was given by Amarinder Singh, the party has framed a strong strategy to shortlist the probable candidates by the survey reports by various independent agencies so that the party could give the ticket to the candidate having win ability.

Even the PPCC President himself revealed that in the 2012 assembly elections, the faction of leaders supported the rival party candidates and that’s why the Punjab Congress had lost the assembly polls.

Amarinder further told that during the 2012 assembly polls, the party gave tickets to 46 faction leaders but only eight could manage to win the polls and rest of the candidates supported the rival candidates.

The PPCC President revealed the truth about his party, and he proved that the infighting led to the party’s defeat in the last assembly polls and still the infighting continues in Punjab Congress.

However, the former Chief Minister of Punjab made statements regarding the party’s unity and ruled out the possibilities of infighting within the party. But, the recent statement of Amarinder Singh has completely exposed the party that the party is not at all united.

Even the party had taken the candidates applied for the party ticket to the religious places and asked them to take an oath that they would work hard for the party.

So, it is crystal clear that the Punjab Congress has been heading towards its doomsday as infighting is continuing in the party.

Capt Amarinder Singh desperate for Navjot Singh Sidhu

amrinder-mar7-1_647_022516090404

The Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee President, Capt Amarinder Singh seems to be lost his senses as he is frequently changing his statements for the former BJP MP Navjot Singh Sidhu.

Amarinder Singh said that Sidhu is welcome to join the party. In fact, the PPCC head is totally confused over the Sidhu’s next move and frequently showing his eagerness for the cricketer turned politician.

In Amritsar, Amarinder said that everyone was “welcome” to join the party “without any condition” and “whoever does so, would have to follow a certain discipline”. If Sidhu wants to join Congress, the doors of the party would remain open for him.

He told that Sidhu’s ‘Awaaz-e-Punjab’ front was “welcome” to merge with the Congress.
Amarinder Singh has been changing his colours on Navjot Singh Sidhu.  Earlier, he raised questions at Sidhu’s credibility to change the 120-year-old history of Congress party. He said that party would take him if he would come unconditionally.

When Sidhu had resigned from the post of Rajya Sabha MP, the PPCC President told that Sidhu could adhere to the party and the doors of the party would always remain open for him.

At that time Amarinder Singh had also stated that Sidhu’s father was his friend and he is from Sidhu clan. He had appreciated the move of Sidhu’s resignation from the Rajya Sabha.

However, Sidhu announced a platform ‘Awaz-e-Punjab’ and Amarinder had changed his stance for Sidhu. He told that Sidhu is a misguided missile and the platform would result in a failure.

Amarinder Singh even remarked that who knew Sidhu in Punjab and Punjab Congress didn’t bother that whether Sidhu formed his political outfit.

However, the PPCC President is totally confused over Sidhu as he wants that Sidhu joins the party. Even he is also showing his desperation for Sidhu as Amarinder is popular for his opportunism.

Punjab Congress confused, making campaigns after campaigns

The Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee has been making campaigns after campaigns as confusion prevailed within the party for making a concrete strategy for the upcoming Punjab assembly polls.

The AICC had signed the prominent poll strategist Prashant Kishore for the political makeover of Punjab Congress and Uttar Pradesh Congress. However, the poll strategist Kishore completely failed to gain grounds in Punjab as the party is affected with the factionalism within the leadership and workers.

Kishore had designed the program, ‘Coffee with Captain’ which drew flak as the youngsters started asking him the questions regarding his absenteeism in assembly and parliament.

Another programme, ‘Halke Da Captain’ didn’t fetch the crowd, and ‘Punjab Congress Express’ derailed in the state. Finally, the Punjab Congress is all set to kick off its farmer outreach campaign to reach out to each and every farmer from October 12.

Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee President Captain Amarinder Singh said in the first phase – from October 12 to October 25, party workers will engage with more than 25 lakh households.

The party will establish direct contact with 75 lakh voters, reaching out to more than two crore people in this period. Amarinder played farmer card to woo the farmers of Punjab. He said that if the party forms the government, the farmers would be waived off from their all farm debts.

It is evident that the former Chief Minister of Punjab had done nothing for the welfare of the farmers in his five years regime. Farmers held protests during his tenure as Punjab Chief Minister.

It seems the Punjab Congress has been struggling hard to gain the grounds in Punjab politics. The party has been coming out with some programmes to reach out the masses, but programmes failed to woo the voters of Punjab.

Capt Amarinder Singh changes his colours like chameleon

Capt. Amarinder Singh 2
The Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee President, Capt Amarinder Singh has been changing his colours on Navjot Singh Sidhu. Currently, he has come out with the statement that Sidhu can join the Congress without the riders.

He also raised questions at Sidhu’s credibility to change the 120-year-old history of Congress party. He said that party is willing to take him if he joins unconditionally.

When the cricketer turned politician Navjot Singh Sidhu had resigned from the post of Rajya Sabha MP, the PPCC President told that Sidhu could adhere to the party and the doors of the party would always remain open for him.

Currently, Amarinder changed his colours as he told that Sidhu could join Congress unconditionally. Amarinder Singh has lost his direction as he is altering his statements for Sidhu.

However, the statements of Amarinder proved that he is keen to induct Sidhu he gets a green signal from the former BJP MP.

Punjab Congress wakes up, now Dalit leaders to get key roles

pic 2

When the assembly elections in Punjab are approaching, the Punjab Congress suddenly realised the Dalit leaders of the party and to woo the workers along with their supporters; the party has decided to give key posts to Dalit leaders.

The Punjab Congress has decided to assign important roles to its Dalit leaders.

The AICC after formally deciding upon the names would assign them important roles in the organisation set-up and the election campaign so that the party could weave in the Dalit vote bank.

Besides, the issue of equal ticket sharing among the Dalits – comprising both Ravidassia and Valmiki communities – has divided the community leaders. Dalits, who make up almost one-third of the Punjab’s population, have not been able to emerge as a political force in the party as they are politically divided.

The Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee head, Amarinder Singh had come out with a stunt to woo the Dalit voters. He had convinced the party high command for the elevation of Dalit legislator Charanjit Singh Channi as Leader of Opposition despite ignoring the fact that Channel is a political greenhorn.

Then the former Chief Minister of Punjab, Amarinder Singh brought the singer turned a politician, Hans Raj Hans into the party fold by offering him the post of Rajya Sabha MP. However, the AICC dropped the name of Hans at the eleventh hour.

It is evident that the Punjab state has maximum populations of Dalits so the party has been working hard to leave no stone unturned to please the Dalit leaders in the party.

Punjab Congress has always given priority to Jat Sikh leaders but now the party has suddenly realised the importance of Dalit voters and played cheap stunt to offer the key posts to Dalit leaders.

In the past, the party never gave priority to Dalit leaders since the 2007 assembly polls. The last Dalit president of PPCC was the incumbent Rajya Sabha MP Shamsher Singh Dullo.

Capt Amarinder Singh using cheap tactics to woo party workers

disappointment

Capt Amarinder Singh has come up with a new trick to woo party workers and told that the candidates who filed the applications for the tickets would be given the chairmanships of various boards if they withdraw their application and help the contesting candidate in winning the election.

He told the applicants to withdraw their applications and work for the probable candidate in the constituency. The Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee had announced that the selection criteria for the candidates of the party in the upcoming assembly polls would be done by shortlisting the application of the right candidates. The party had invited the application for the selection criteria from party workers.

However, the application procedure was a trick to please the party workers as it was pre-planned that the blue-eyed boys of Amarinder Singh will get the tickets. And now Amarinder Singh has indirectly told the applicants to withdraw their applications, and he would offer them chairmanship if the party forms the government.

In 2012, the Punjab Congress witnessed the defeat because Amarinder Singh gave tickets to his confidants and the rebels in the party acted against the party. The Congress leader Deepinder Dhillon was denied the party ticket from Derabassi constituency. He left the party and contested independently. Dhillon lost the election, but he got 50,000 votes. He had re-joined the party when he got assurance from Amarinder that in the upcoming assembly polls, he would be the party’s candidate from Derabassi seat.

There were so many cases of party rebels who acted against the party and Amarinder Singh. The Punjab Congress head has played a stunt this time so that he could successfully give tickets to his confidants.

As per the information, hundreds of applicants filled the applications for the party tickets and supposed if they withdraw their applications, is it possible for Amarinder to adjust all if he forms the government. It seems Amarinder Singh has not lost only the vision but wisdom too.

Congress hides anti sikh face with Manmohan

Trying every possible course of action to mark a victory in the upcoming Punjab polls; Congress has planned to make Prime Minister Manmohan Singh the star campaigner of the party. Highly respected for his down to earth personality, Dr. Singh can give a push to the party’s campaigning being a Sikh face.

1

Prashant Kishore, the strategist of Congress Punjab and the team is working tirelessly to prevent the defeat for the third time.

If we talk about this strategy of Punjab Congress, it seems as if this party is trying to hide its anti-Sikh face by taking help of Sardar Manmohan Singh. But Mr. Kishore should keep in mind that appointment of Manmohan Singh in Punjab as star campaigner will not be helpful as Punjabis can never forget the cruel face of this party.

From 1955 to 1984, Congress committed many atrocities on Sikh community. The injustice that has done to the Sikhs is not an incident to be forgotten so easily, it reminds of the times when Congress showed no mercy towards the innocent souls of Punjab. Attacks, violence, killings, religious sacrilege, what’s that Congress has not done to destroy Punjab and its people.

One fair advice to Mr. Kishore, learn about the history before you think such plans would work in favor of Congress party.

Punjab Congress Express: another stunt to woo the voters

bus

Punjab Congress has come out with another political stunt ‘Punjab Congress Express’ to woo the voters as all the previous plans of the party failed for the political makeover of the party in Punjab.

The party has designed 13 mini buses named ‘Punjab Congress Express’ to meet the people across the state and hold meetings with party workers also. The publicity bus would cover the state according to the route prepared by the party leaders.

Prominent leaders of the party would lead their campaigns in their areas. The party has come out with the Punjab Congress Express so that before the rallies of AICC vice-president Rahul Gandhi in Punjab, the party could cover the state to pull crowds in the rallies.

Punjab Congress has been coming out with a lot of plans to strengthen the party as all plans designed by Prashant Kishore failed to woo the Punjabis. The programme ‘Coffee with Captain’ was designed for the maximum interaction of youth with Capt Amarinder Singh but the programme turned against Amarinder as the youth started questioning him for his absence from the assembly and parliament sessions.

Another programme was designed ‘Halke Wich Captain’ didn’t fetch much response. It’s going on but the response is not good. When the poll strategist Prashant Kishore was hired by the party, he had started an interaction programme in which Capt Amarinder used to meet party workers and supporters.

However, the programme drew flak as the party workers started lambasting at the local and senior leadership for their absenteeism in their respective areas. All programmes designed by the poll strategist didn’t come out well.

The poll strategist has designed the new programme Punjab Congress Express as he feels that the programme would work well. However, this time, he would again disappoint his boss as the people are much aware of the stunts of Punjab Congress.

Captain Amarinder Singh’s love for “CLEAN CHITS”

PPCC President has turned to be a savior for his party members. Recently, Congress MLA Tarlochan Singh Soondh hurled a shoe at revenue minister of the opposition party during the last session of assembly for which he had to face a lot of criticism from all over the country.  However, a day after this incident, Amarinder Singh- The Savior, appeared to justify the action of his MLA and said,” Our legislator got emotional and reacted,”

0

This is not for the first time when Captain Amarinder Singh has given clean chit to his party members, before this he defended alleged perpetrator of Sikh genocide that happened in 1984, Jagdish Tytler by saying, “I am not the CBI, I am not the court. I am telling you what I saw, and felt. I was in Delhi, and went to all the camps, and everyone I met took all these names that I have told you, except Jagdish Tytler. When did Jagdish Tytler’s name come up? It came up when he was fighting Madan Lal Khurana in Delhi, and that was months later.”

Also, when Kamal Nath resigned from the position of general secretary in Punjab Congress, Captain came out for his defense. “Even if Kamal Nath would have been there as in-charge, there would have been nothing on the party. There would have been nothing. Things have changed,” he said. He defended the present general secretary Asha Kumari also, who faced opposition in Punjab due to the land grabbing case.

Not just his party members, he showed his love of “clean chits” to the rebelled members of the other parties as well. Here, we are talking about Succha Singh Chottepur, PPCC president defended and gave the clean chit to the ex- convener of AAP by saying that he had an “untarnished record of 40 years in public life”.

So, next time when you commit a mistake but don’t want to accept it, consult PPCC president, Captain Amarinder Singh, he would be happy to give you “CLEAN CHIT”. Don’t hurry, this offer is not limited.

Punjab Congress is not strengthened yet

disappointment

The Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee has been sitting silently as assembly elections are not far and moreover, there is no sign of strengthening of the party by the PPCC President Capt Amarinder Singh.

As per the information, the party has been working not even up to the mark in the state and still there is factionalism prevailing in the party. Even Capt Amarinder Singh has been waiting for the official announcement of his candidature as CM candidate of the party in the assembly polls.

The political atmosphere in Punjab Congress is not heated up as party cadre is waiting for the official announcement of the Chief Ministerial candidate by the party high command.

However, the differences between the top leadership have not been sinking as still there are factions against Capt Amarinder Singh. The former PPCC President and incumbent Rajya Sabha MP Partap Singh Bajwa is not in the good terms with Amarinder. Even the other Rajya Sabha MP, Shamsher Singh Dullo has cornered himself from Amarinder because the PPCC president had given the name of Hans Raj Hans for the Rajya Sabha nomination but when Dullo approached the high command, the name of Sufi singer was dropped from the list in the eleventh hour.

The two senior leaders Jagmeet Brar and Bir Devinder Singh already facing expulsion from the party and definitely their absence would affect the party in the assembly polls.

There is no much time left for the assembly polls and the party has not pulled up its socks to give a tough fight to the rivals. Already the Punjab Congress has witnessed two consecutive defeats in the assembly polls. If the party would not be strengthened its cadre across the state then definitely it would taste the third consecutive defeat in the polls.
It is evident that the Congress leaders have not eliminated their differences and the rift between the top leadership would put the party on a political ventilator.
