Congress legislator busy in taking “pictures” in assembly
Congress party leaders claim themselves the well-wishers of the people of Punjab and making so many tall promises to woo the public for the Punjab polls in 2017.
Moreover, the legislators are urging the people to support the party in the elections as the party needs a chance to serve the people. However, the seriousness of the party legislators can easily be judged as they are busy in clicking selfies in Punjab assembly.
Former CM’s grandson and Payal MLA Kotli’s non serious attitude
The budget session is going on in Punjab assembly and the former Chief Minister of Punjab, Beant Singh’s grandson Gurkirat Kotli, who is MLA from Payal constituency, was seen clicking his pictures in assembly before starting of the session.
It’s depicting the non-serious attitude of the legislator. Moreover, few other legislators were supported him and later Kotli posted the pictures on social media.
Non serious legislator at serious place
The people of Payal constituency elected Gurkirat as their representative and during the discussions or debates in assembly session, Kotli has hardly seen speaking or raising any issue. It seems he attends the assembly just as a silent spectator.
In the budget session, Kotli was busy in getting his own photographs while sitting in the assembly. He was supported by other MLA’s Lal Singh, Rana Gurjit Singh, Parminder Singh Pinky and Navtej Singh Cheema.
Kotli was caught in controversial Katia’s case in 1994
In the regime of former Chief Minister of Punjab, Beant Singh, Kotli had fully misused the power of his grandfather. A French tourist during his India’s visit in 1994 had alleged that Kotli along with his friends molested her. At that time, Kotli’s name had hit the headlines.
The issue had created ruckus during the monsoon session in the regime of late CM Beant Singh. In September, 1994, the French tourist while leaving India had told that she was not given justice because the kin of a big gun was involved in the case.
Katia had told the media at that time, “No serious effort has been made to book the real culprits. For me, it was a horrifying experience.”
