Capt Amarinder Singh has been facing the heat of AICC for favoring the turncoats. The AICC has questioned Amarinder for favoring the turncoats in the party. The party leaders revolted against the PPCC President for inviting turncoats and promising them the party tickets.
The Central Election Committee headed by AICC President Sonia Gandhi raised questioned over the selection of turncoats for assembly seats. The matter was raised by Rajya Sabha MP’s Partap Singh Bajwa, Shamsher Singh Dullo and Santokh Chaudhry.
The Rajya Sabha MP’s met Rahul Gandhi and warned him about Amarinder’s favors to political turncoats. Shamsher Singh Dullo met Sonia Gandhi and informed her about the situation of the party in Punjab. Dullo told that Amarinder ignored the sincere and hard workers.
In the CEC meeting, the name of former SAD legislator Inderbir Singh Bolaria for party ticket raised a storm in the meeting. The AICC President and senior leadership questioned that why Bolaria’s name was inducted in the probable candidate’s name.
Bolaria was questioned by Enforcement Directorate in the famous drug trafficking case. Shiromani Akali Dal expelled him because of his misconduct in the party. Amarinder inducted him and promised him the party ticket.
Another apple of discord was Navjot Kaur Sidhu, the former SAD legislator. Amarinder inducted Sidhu’s bane in the probable list. Another former SAD legislator Pargat Singh’s name was also questioned by AICC.
A source in the CEC said that a senior leader shouted when a member read out the name of Sarwan Singh Phillaur in the probable’s list. The leader questioned that why the name of Phillaur, who’s son faced ED probe in connection with Bhola drug racket case.
The senior Congress leader Janardhan Dwivedi lambasted at Amarinder’s move. He told that if the political turncoats were not useful for their old parties then how come they would help Punjab Congress.
The list of the candidates was supposed to announce on December 8 but now the screening committee will meet on December 13. The delay in the Punjab Congress list will definitely affect the party in the upcoming Punjab polls.
Punjab Congress claims to be an honest party but the IT department exposed the ‘thug’ who is PPCC President. Amarinder Singh who pretend himself a well wisher of Punjab looted the wealth of the state from 2002-2007.
The Income Tax Department had found various accounts in foreign banks owned by his son Raninder Singh. The department had called Amarinder for questioning and the PPCC head gave ‘wrong statement’ to defend his son.
As per the latest information, the department filed prosecution complaint against him in a tax evasion case. The PPCC President and his son didn’t disclose the untaxed foreign assets to the department. After the investigation, the department came to know that the both father and son have untaxed foreign assets.
The former CM has been charged under section 277 of the I-T Act (false statement in verification) and IPC sections 176 (omission to give notice or information to public servant by person legally bound to give it), 177 (furnishing false information), 193 (punishment for false evidence) and 199 (false statement made in declaration which is by law receivable as evidence).
In the complaint, the I-T department said during its investigations Amarinder Singh was “found to be the beneficiary” of a trust and other properties owned and created by his son Raninder in abroad. The complaint further mentioned that when questioned about these, Amarinder gave a “false statement on oath” about the ownership of these assets.
The department has sufficient proofs of Amrinder’s involvement in the creation of trusts in abroad. But, he didn’t reveal the information to the department. Raninder Singh has been facing the same complaint registered by the IT department.
The sources in the department disclosed that the complaint is equillent to the charge sheet filed by police. So, the PPCC head may face the trouble for evasion of Income Tax. When Amarinder was the CM of Punjab, he kept the statement money in his foreign accounts. Moreover, he lavishly spent the money on his lavish life style. He had also gifted a costly flat to Aroosa Alam in Dubai and a bungalow in Pakistan in 2007.
The PPCC President Capt Amarinder Singh has been duping the people by promising them lucrative incentives. He has been making false promises to the people.
Amarinder Singh making tall claims to Punjabis as per the directions given by his poll strategist Prashant Kishore. He has promised the youth to give 50 lakh smart phones with one year of free data and calling facility. It’s only an illusion as this is hardly possible to give 50 lakh smart phones if Congress forms the government.
A smart phone costs around Rs 5000 to Rs 7000 and if the party buys 50 lakhs phones, the cost will cross billions. He has just befooled the youth by offering a stupid idea. He has started another program designed by Prashant Kishore ‘Har Ghar Ton Ikk Captain’ with the promise of one job in every family backed by an interim unemployment allowance and weaning the state’s youth away from drugs.
He had promised the people of Punjab in 2002 that if the party forms the government, he would give employment. However, nothing had done so far in this regard during the regime of Amarinder Singh. Prashant Kishore has designed so many programs but all failed to woo the people of Punjab. And now the failed politician tried to bait the people by launching another program ‘Har Ghar to Ikk Captain’.
Captain Amarinder Singh’s new slogan ‘Captain ne saun chukki, har ghar ikk naukri pakki’ will be proved a disaster. He didn’t fulfill his promises when he was the Chief Minister of Punjab. He also promised the farmers to waive off the bad loans. The report card of Amarinder Singh as CM depicted that he didn’t make any pro-people policy. Moreover, he looted the wealth of Punjab and put it in his various bank accounts in Switzerland.
The former MP has used all the formulas to improve his political image but he failed. The party has already witnessed two consecutive defeats in the assembly polls. It seems the Punjab Congress is completely directionless and heading towards its dooms day.
The people of Amritsar felt cheated by their Member Parliament Amarinder Singh who submitted his resignation on Thursday over the issue of SYL. The Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee President tried to pretend himself as a true well-wisher of Punjabis. However, he has ditched the people of Amritsar who trusted him in the general elections.
When the people of Patiala elected him as their representative for the Punjab assembly in 2012, he remained absent from the assembly sessions and even in the parliament, his attendance during the sessions recorded six percent.
An absentee in both assembly and parliament, Amarinder failed to raise the issues pertaining to his constituencies. So, how come a politician who preferred to relax instead of attending session will be the well-wisher of the Punjabis?
He has also dumped the people of Amritsar as there is no MP in the Amritsar constituency and moreover, the by election is too far in the constituency. So, it means the political ambition is very much important for Amarinder Singh as he has nothing to do with the people of Amritsar.
There was no need to submit the resignation from the parliament as he would have found other ways to protest against SYL verdict. Hence, it is proved that Amarinder Singh is an over ambitious politician.
The legislator from Gidderbaha constituency Amarinder Singh Raja Warring has proved his anti-Sikh mentality as he was wearing a tea shirt having the picture of Indira Gandhi.
Warring was in Delhi to observe the death anniversary of Indira Gandhi and he was showing his sympathy for the late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. The anti-Sikh riots started after the death of Indira in which thousands of innocent Sikhs were burnt alive by the Congress leaders.
Indira Gandhi had given the green signal for the operation Blue Star. And the anti-Sikh riots were already planned by the Congress before the death of Indira Gandhi. An article in the Caravan magazine had unearthed the fact that the riots were already planned.
A former official in Delhi had given his interview to the magazine in which he revealed that Congress had already prepared the voter lists of the Sikhs and everything was pre planned.
The Congress party has anti-Sikh ideology and Amarinder Singh Raja Warring who claims himself the well-wisher of the Sikhs was pleasing the Gandhi family in Delhi on the death anniversary of Indira Gandhi.
Warring’s entry in the Congress party was not so easy but with the flattering skills he managed to make entry in politics. The clever young Congress leader had driven the car of senior Congress leader and former MP Jagmeet Brar as he did not miss the chance to enter in the politics.
The over ambitious Warring had used Brar as his political mentor and even polished his shoes also. So, whenever he finds any opportunity he grabs it. He is close to Rahul Gandhi and that’s why playing all tricks to woo his bosses.
It is proved that Warring has anti-Sikh mentality and he should be ashamed himself for performing such cheap stunts to woo the Gandhi’s. He is the biggest enemy of the Sikhs.
The Punjab Congress seems to be in the troubled waters as the PPCC President has been showing his desperateness for Sidhu and finally, he is going to offer him the post of Deputy Chief Minister.
According to the sources in the Punjab Congress, the PPCC President Capt Amarinder Singh is still in the vacillating condition for Navjot Singh Sidhu.
The upcoming Punjab assembly polls would be the acid test for the former Chief Minister of Punjab, Amarinder Singh, as he has already witnessed two consecutive defeats in the last two assembly elections.
So, the desperate Punjab Congress head Amarinder Singh is keen to get the cricketer turned politician Navjot Singh Sidhu into the party fold. When the former BJP MP Navjot Singh Sidhu resigned from the Rajya Sabha seat, Amarinder Singh had shown his keenness to get Sidhu into the party.
At that time, he tried to please Sidhu and told that his father was the Congress leader from Patiala. Amarinder also told that he also hails from Sidhu clan. When Sidhu announced his new platform Awaz-e-Punjab, Amarinder took a u-turn and lambasted at Sidhu.
However, the incumbent Punjab Congress head has been desperately changing statements for Sidhu. Sometimes he looks annoyed with Sidhu, but he wants Sidhu’s entry into Punjab Congress so that the party’s chances of winning the polls could be enhanced.
The Punjab Congress has already lost the two assembly elections consecutively in the headship of Amarinder Singh and now the party has been contesting under his leadership for the third time.
Amarinder Singh is confused these days as all programs made by the party’s poll strategist Prashant Kishore has totally failed. So, that’s why Amarinder needs a prominent face because he knows that he alone can’t do anything so that’s why he is showing his desperateness for Navjot Singh Sidhu.
The infighting within the Punjab Congress has been going on and the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee President Capt Amarinder Singh making statements that the party is not divided.
Amarinder Singh scored self-goal as he openly made a statement to the media that the Punjab Congress is all set to clip the wings of the influential factions’ leaders within the party.
As per the information was given by Amarinder Singh, the party has framed a strong strategy to shortlist the probable candidates by the survey reports by various independent agencies so that the party could give the ticket to the candidate having win ability.
Even the PPCC President himself revealed that in the 2012 assembly elections, the faction of leaders supported the rival party candidates and that’s why the Punjab Congress had lost the assembly polls.
Amarinder further told that during the 2012 assembly polls, the party gave tickets to 46 faction leaders but only eight could manage to win the polls and rest of the candidates supported the rival candidates.
The PPCC President revealed the truth about his party, and he proved that the infighting led to the party’s defeat in the last assembly polls and still the infighting continues in Punjab Congress.
However, the former Chief Minister of Punjab made statements regarding the party’s unity and ruled out the possibilities of infighting within the party. But, the recent statement of Amarinder Singh has completely exposed the party that the party is not at all united.
Even the party had taken the candidates applied for the party ticket to the religious places and asked them to take an oath that they would work hard for the party.
So, it is crystal clear that the Punjab Congress has been heading towards its doomsday as infighting is continuing in the party.
Capt Amarinder Singh, the President of Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee, has forgotten that his aide and Congress leader Sukhpal Singh Bhullar had promised that if the party formed the government in Punjab, the opium vends would be opened in Punjab.
Bhullar had promised to open poppy husk and opium outlets in Punjab if Congress formed a government in 2017 polls. Bhullar had made the statement in front of Amarinder during a rally.
The entire Punjabi community would be shocked to hear that the Congress leader had given the statement in front of Capt Amarinder Singh.
Bhullar made the statement in a public rally which was also attended by Punjab Pradesh Congress head, Capt Amarinder Singh at Amarkot in 2015. Sukhpal Singh Bhullar is a staunch supporter of Capt Amarinder Singh.
Bhullar had stated that poppy husk and opium vends would save the people of Punjab. When media had asked him the question regarding his absurd statement, Bhullar said, “The opium and poppy husk vends would save the lives of people as poppy husk and opium were the best options for curing the different diseases.”
Bhullar had said, “The only way to get rid of heroine is to legalise it. The US did the same. The drugs being produced illegally are impure which are killing Punjab youths.”
How such leaders who favoured the drugs would bring revolution in the state?
The Congress party is boasting that it would eliminate the drug menace from the state if the party forms the government. However, the statement of Capt Amarinder and his aide, Bhullar differ. It seems that party is directionless over the issue of drugs.
On the one hand, Amarinder claiming that he would eliminate drugs and on another, Bhullar demanding the opening of liquor vends. How such leaders would bring revolution in the state. The Congress party has been moving towards its end in the state.
The Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee President, Capt Amarinder Singh seems to be lost his senses as he is frequently changing his statements for the former BJP MP Navjot Singh Sidhu.
Amarinder Singh said that Sidhu is welcome to join the party. In fact, the PPCC head is totally confused over the Sidhu’s next move and frequently showing his eagerness for the cricketer turned politician.
In Amritsar, Amarinder said that everyone was “welcome” to join the party “without any condition” and “whoever does so, would have to follow a certain discipline”. If Sidhu wants to join Congress, the doors of the party would remain open for him.
He told that Sidhu’s ‘Awaaz-e-Punjab’ front was “welcome” to merge with the Congress.
Amarinder Singh has been changing his colours on Navjot Singh Sidhu. Earlier, he raised questions at Sidhu’s credibility to change the 120-year-old history of Congress party. He said that party would take him if he would come unconditionally.
When Sidhu had resigned from the post of Rajya Sabha MP, the PPCC President told that Sidhu could adhere to the party and the doors of the party would always remain open for him.
At that time Amarinder Singh had also stated that Sidhu’s father was his friend and he is from Sidhu clan. He had appreciated the move of Sidhu’s resignation from the Rajya Sabha.
However, Sidhu announced a platform ‘Awaz-e-Punjab’ and Amarinder had changed his stance for Sidhu. He told that Sidhu is a misguided missile and the platform would result in a failure.
Amarinder Singh even remarked that who knew Sidhu in Punjab and Punjab Congress didn’t bother that whether Sidhu formed his political outfit.
However, the PPCC President is totally confused over Sidhu as he wants that Sidhu joins the party. Even he is also showing his desperation for Sidhu as Amarinder is popular for his opportunism.
The Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee has been making campaigns after campaigns as confusion prevailed within the party for making a concrete strategy for the upcoming Punjab assembly polls.
The AICC had signed the prominent poll strategist Prashant Kishore for the political makeover of Punjab Congress and Uttar Pradesh Congress. However, the poll strategist Kishore completely failed to gain grounds in Punjab as the party is affected with the factionalism within the leadership and workers.
Kishore had designed the program, ‘Coffee with Captain’ which drew flak as the youngsters started asking him the questions regarding his absenteeism in assembly and parliament.
Another programme, ‘Halke Da Captain’ didn’t fetch the crowd, and ‘Punjab Congress Express’ derailed in the state. Finally, the Punjab Congress is all set to kick off its farmer outreach campaign to reach out to each and every farmer from October 12.
Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee President Captain Amarinder Singh said in the first phase – from October 12 to October 25, party workers will engage with more than 25 lakh households.
The party will establish direct contact with 75 lakh voters, reaching out to more than two crore people in this period. Amarinder played farmer card to woo the farmers of Punjab. He said that if the party forms the government, the farmers would be waived off from their all farm debts.
It is evident that the former Chief Minister of Punjab had done nothing for the welfare of the farmers in his five years regime. Farmers held protests during his tenure as Punjab Chief Minister.
It seems the Punjab Congress has been struggling hard to gain the grounds in Punjab politics. The party has been coming out with some programmes to reach out the masses, but programmes failed to woo the voters of Punjab.
