Captain’s hunger for supremacy amounts to downfall of Congress

The factionalism and internal rifts of Congress party are not hidden from anyone and this is known to be one of the major reasons of Congress’ downfall on the political ground. This is not a new “trend” in Congress when one member would blame other for all the wrong doings. In this battle of blames and lies, Captain Amarinder Singh seems to be taking all the “benefits”. He does not look worried due to these rifts at all, but is constantly trying to turn these internal rifts beneficial for him.

We can do better analysis on the situation by taking the example of Gulchain Singh and Shakeel Ahmed. They were not the strongest contenders but were still given powerful positions. The reason was their “close links” with the royal Singh. Harish Chaudhary, another member when tried to make his point was treated badly in the party, as Captain Amarinder Singh never wants to transfer his powers to anyone else.

Also, as per sources, when Pratap Singh Bajwa was the president of Congress, Amarinder left no chance to take his position and wrote a letter to Mrs. Gandhi saying that bajwa is a “drug lord”. Not just that, when there was doubt of making Mr. Singh, the president of party, he threatened the high authorities to form a new party of his own, after which he was granted the “president” position.

If we look at the recent incident of welcoming Asha Kumari in Punjab, sources claim that this happened because of the Captain himself. He wanted to take charge of the party hence appointed Asha Kumari here.

From all above-mentioned incidents, it is clearly exposed that what Captain craves the most is power and charge. He would never allow someone else to take his position.  But here we would want to remind Captain Amarinder Singh that “TEAM WORK” is a practice that is important to accomplish any project, so you better learn it.

Expelled Members: A New Trouble for Captain Amarinder Singh & Party

Everyone in Punjab knows about the growing “internal rifts” of the Congress party. Former deputy speaker Bir Devinder Singh and former MP, Jagmeet Singh Brar has been expelled out of the party for not following the party rules, doing anti-party activities, and indiscipline.

Jagmeet Singh Brar & his frustration for Amarinder

Even after getting expelled from the party, Jagmeet Singh Brar continued to speak against former CM, Captain Amarinder Singh and his family. He expressed his frustration towards Amarinder Singh through media and tweets. He was asked to stop these anti-party activities several times and both Prahsant Kishore and AICC general secretary in-charge of Punjab, Shakeel Ahmad, discussed the issue with him. However, getting no positive response from Brar, Congress party decided to expel him from the party “with an immediate effect.”

In a recent interview, Brar claimed to have all the data regarding Amarinder and his family’s Swiss bank accounts. He stated that Amarinder and family have about 860 Crore saved in Swiss bank accounts on the name of Jacaranda trust. He was sure about his claims, and the revelations of ED. He told the media that he would reveal all these details in brief on August 15, 2016. He said that the party has forgiven Amarinder Singh numerous times for his “sins” but this is high time that he has to stand up for his party. He also expressed his discontent on the matter of Khadoor Sahib bypoll, and Talwandi Sabo bypoll.

Bir Devinder Singh: Not happy with Aroosa & Amarinder’s affair

On the other hand, Bir Devinder lashed out at Amarinder Singh for his alleged affair with Aroosa Alam. He warned Amarinder Singh that if he does not leave Aroosa now, he would have to face the same kind of defeat again in the year 2017.

Hide and Seek of Clashes

Apart from this, main members of the party i.e. Charanjit Singh Channi, Rajinder Kaur Bhattal, Prashant Kishore and Captain Amarinder Singh, they all share “not so good” bond with each other. No matter how much they try to hide their “internal conflicts”, Punjabis very well know about the absence of unity and teamwork of Congress party.

Nirvan Singh, another example of dynasty politics in Punjab Congress

The Punjab Congress has been denying the facts of dynasty politics in the party since long but truth can never be extinguished. Amarinder Singh, head of Punjab Congress boldly denied the allegation of dynasty politics and facts say something different. Amarinder Singh, his wife Preneet Kaur who is sitting legislator and former parliamentarian and son Raninder fought election from Lok Sabha seat of Bhatinda. For Amarinder, this is not dynasty politics in Punjab Congress.

201

Punjab Congress has exposed in front of the people over the issue of dynasty politics as the entire family is at the party and both husband wife enjoying prestigious positions in the party. But, for Amarinder Singh, this is not dynasty politics.

A new face is being emerged in Punjab Congress and he is Nirvan Singh. The younger son of Amarinder’s daughter Jai InderKaur, Nirvan has returned from the UK after completed his post-graduation.

Nirvan Singh has been taking care of his maternal grandfather’s campaigns and he is also actively participating in social media. Amarinder has assigned the task of Nirvan’s training to his poll strategist Prashant Kishore.

Kishore has been taking Nirvan to different places so that he could be acquainted with the activities of the party as well as with the party cadre. However, Amarinder has not formally announced Nirvan’s name in the party but the sources in the party revealed that he would be given prominent position in the party.

Earlier, Amarinder took a u-turn on dynasty politics. He told the media that his son Raninder was no longer interested in politics so, there was no question of dynasty politics. Moreover, he had announced that the loyal party worker would be the replacement of Raninder.

The sources in the party said that Amarinder was scared after the Raninder exit as earlier his brother left the Congress so Nirvan was the only hope of Amarinder. He kept on insisting Nirvan to enter the political arena. Nirvan had planned to set up his consultancy in the UK but he dropped the idea to join his maternal grandfather.

Even Nirvanadmitted media that he has been helping his maternal granddad and handling his Twitter and Facebook account so that the reach with in the masses could be increased.

If this is not the definition of dynasty politics for Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee President Amarinder Singh then there must be another word for the proper definition. However, one this is being cleared that the tradition of family politics still continues in Punjab Congress. The political family of Congress party in Punjab don’t want the reins of the party in other hands.

Senior panel gave a miss to PPCC Meet!

Punjab Congress Committee never misses a chance to make a headline. This is all revealed that nothing is going smooth in the Captain’s team. And it is once again witnessed at a recently held meeting at Chandigarh where all the top slot players of the Punjab Congress committee decide to give it a miss.

But sources told a different tale that they preferred to stay away as they were peeved off at the way they had been placed in the new set up.

Turning down the issue, the Chief of PPCC Captain Amarinder Singh opted to choose the occasion to uplift the morale of those present. He talked about the recent and poor performance of Aam Aadmi party at Delhi municipal by-elections. He quoted, “Now the army of Congress is in place and our victory is sure.” The AAP has already lost in Punjab with a vertical division between the four MPs.

Meanwhile, Ambika Soni, Chairperson of the PPCC and State In-Charge Shakeel Ahmad asked the newly appointed office bearers to take up the charge and get along everyone to mark a victory in Punjab.

Also, putting all speculations to rest, Captain Amarinder Singh and party strategist Prashant Kishore found sharing camaraderie. Though Prashant was seated behind Captain, indicating the role being defined by the top panel only!

Prashant Kishor fails to placate Bir Davinder

“Captain Amarinder Singh might have pinned high hopes on well-known poll strategist Prashnat Kishor for the upcoming assembly polls in Punjab but infighting and state leadership issues never refuse to die down, making it even impossible for Kishor settle internal disputes.”

Senior Congress leader and former deputy speaker, Bir Davinder Singh have locked horns with Congress state chief, Captain Amarinder Singh. Former had accused Captain Amarinder of being “inaccessible” to party leaders and also “hobnobbing” with the opponents. Many senior leaders have risen up in arms against the state leadership and now they are washing their dirty linen in public.

Against Kishor’s recommendation, Congress leaders want Davinder to be expelled

Bir Davinder Singh, who is also the Punjab media coordinator, has locked horns with Captain Amarinder Singh. Davinder lashed out at Captain by terming them as being inaccessible and raised serious questions over latter’s leadership. Bir Devinder Singh wrote a Guest Column’ in a leading newspaper expressing his doubts over Congress success in the 2017 assembly polls and Captain countered him back by wring ‘Too early to obituary’ in the same newspaper. Davinder was later suspended for attacking state Congress chief.

A three-member committee was constituted by Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) to look into suspended party leaders Bir Davinder Singh’s outburst against Captain Amarinder. The committee finally recommended his exclusion. Prashnat Kishor on the other hand had tried to placate Davinder by assuring him a prominent position.

Conflicting views of Captain and Kishor

A huge battle lies ahead of Kishor to take all the Congress leaders through elections campaign. But immediately after coming on board, troubles starting mounting up for Kishor. Not just internal feud but also conflicting views with state chief, Captain Amarinder galore him. While took a firm stand on Davinder by stating that indiscipline in the would not be tolerated, one the other hand Kishor tried to diffuse tension by luring Davinder with a prominent position.

Punjab Congress to Get Zero Votes, Says Kejriwal

Punjab is roaring high in amidst of upcoming Assembly Elections due early next year. The ruling and the opposition parties are all geared up to grab the power in the state. Everyday rallies, events, meetings, new promises, commitments, growth prospects, development programs, plans are echoed through the loudspeakers by the political bigwigs.

Also, how could we forget the allegation part!! Oppositions leaving no stone unturned in blaming the ruling party. Despite quoting their own progressive agendas for Punjab, they find it easy to pin-point others.

Recently, Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convener Arvind Kejriwal while addressing an event on Thursday quoted, “The Congress will meet the same fate in Punjab as in Delhi. ”

He simply kicked out Congress from the race but he forgot the level of uncertainty hovering over these elections. He even added that the Congress will meet the same destiny in Punjab as in Delhi.

Kejriwal’s speech is focused on the success of the AAP govt. in Delhi. He said, “If elections are held again in Delhi now, we will even win the three remaining seats too (AAP had won 67 seats in Delhi assembly out of total 70).”

Arvind Kejriwal always sounds over confident but his accusation against Congress was certainly not the wrong. Punjab Congress head by Captain Amarinder Singh has brought nothing to Punjab’s fortune. They bought only scams, frauds, money embezzlements and manipulations.

We will win this much seats

His leader Captain Amarinder always hit the headlines with his strange politicking strategies. Even his own party people don’t support him and his tactics. He created a rift in the party with his dictatorship attitude. Currently, he is on his political tour to USA and Canada. Though Canada govt. bars him to conduct any kind of rally in the nation!

The Punjab has turned into an electoral battle ground. So many happenings in the state pull everyone’s attention. This is going to be really interesting to know who is going to rule next in Punjab. Three strong parties viz. Congress, AAP and SAD-BJP alliance are there to play the perfect oppositions. The people of Punjab are perplexed to choose the best for the state because at the end its growth, development and prosperity that matters!

So dear Punjabis, have a happy voting experience!

Capt Amarinder Singh never allows anyone to speak in front of him

Side lined the Congress leaders who raised their voice against Amarinder

Though Capt Amarinder Singh has been boasting of his self –styled leadership qualities in front the media to please the voters of Punjab but it has come out well that PPCC President deliberately targeting his party men who questions Amarinder Singh.

The arrogant PPCC President Amarinder Singh never allows his party men and even the party’s top leadership with in the state to question him over any issue. Amarinder is all in all in the party.

Amarinder can ditch anyone for his personal gains

The incumbent President of Punjab head can ditch anyone for his personal gains. The former Prime Minister, Rajiv Gandhi had helped Amarinder to enter in Indian National Congress as both were class mates. However, after the Operation Blue Star carried out in 1984, Amarinder got a chance to gain political mileage. He had ditched his class mate and left the Congress party along with his resignation for Parliament.

He joined Shiromani Akali Dal in 1984 and he left SAD in 1992. Amarinder formed his own party when he did not find any prospect in the SAD. He formed Shiromani Akali Dal (Panthik) and his new party had lost the assembly elections in 1997. All candidates of Amarider Singh were badly defeated in the polls. When Amarinder felt him nowhere and finally, he begged in front of AICC President Sonia Gandhi and returned to his old party in 1998. The political journey revealed the dual face of Amarinder.

Amarinder had accused Partap Singh Bajwa for having links with terrorists and drug mafia

Capt Amarinder Singh had betrayed his old friend, Partap Singh Bajwa as the party high command had crowned Bajwa as PPCC president. Amarinder had written a letter to AICC President accusing Bajwa as anti-party. He had mentioned in his letter that Bajwa was associated with the terrorist outfits and Bajwa had links with the drugs peddler. The opportunist Amarinder did not miss a chance to betray his old friend Bajwa for his personal gains.

Amarinder backstabbed Sunil Jakhar

The former leader of opposition and incumbent legislator from Abohar, Sunik Jakhar enjoy a good reputation within the Congress party and even political rivals respect him a lot. The rivals had praised Jakhar when present leader of opposition, Charanjit Singh Channi was disturbing the session. Once a close aide of Amarinder, Jakhar was side lined as Amarinder did not find any benefit from Jakhar’s friendship. He did not nominate Jakhar’s name for the Rajya Sabha seat.

A Battle between ‘Desi Lassi’ and ‘Western Coffee’

“Fighting his fifth elections, Punjab Congress chief, Captain Amarinder has already decided to quit politics after next elections in Punjab. Leaving no stone unturned to lave with lasting impression, he has hired well-known strategist Prashnat Kishor. While KIshor’s much hyped ‘Coffee with Captain’ failed to stimulate public imagination, it is inviting criticism from within the ranks of congress party.”

Captain Amarinder has pinned high hopes poll strategist Prashnat Kishor and is hoping that the party would be able to establish a deep connect with youth of state with the help of much-hyped ‘Coffee with Captain’ extravaganza. The well-orchestrated event held by the team of Parsahnt Kishor has managed to create a buzz on the social media but it failed to draw enthusiasm of public at large. In fact initial few events were total disaster with attendees trying to overpower each other. In mist of chaos, Prahsnt Kishor was forced to leave from one of the events.

Coffee a western phenomenon

Senior Congress leader and former Member of Parliament from Faridkot, Jagmeet Brar had went on record to question the credibility of Captain’s much-hyped extravaganza. He stated that coffee is a western phenomenon and ‘Lassi’ is the flavour of Punjab. Brar felt that mass level contact needs to be built to understand the problems faced by the masses.

“Such mega events peppered with dose of entertainment would only help in creating a hype but would serve no purpose in making lasting impression on the mind of electorate”, quips Brar on the effectiveness of ‘Coffee with Captain’.

Brar pays the price for questioning Captain

Jagmeet-Singh-Brar1.jpg

Jagmeet Brar being a senior member of Congress party questioned the effectiveness of ‘Coffee with Captain’ in good faith. But not going well Captain Amarinder Singh, Brar had to pay a huge price by getting expelled from the party membership.

Infighting within Punjab Congress still on

“After Bir Devinder, it’s time for the former Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee President, Partap Singh Bajwa to target Captain Amarinder Singh and his “autocratic” behavior”

captain bajwa rift

Earlier, former Deputy Speaker, Bir Devinder Singh got suspended by PPCC President Captain Amarinder Singh because of a write up spat between the duos. On his suspension, Bir said, “I do not know I have been suspended. If I have been suspended then I can say that Amarinder would have put his sagacity and wisdom at stake while deciding action against me. As my vocal chords had dried up when I canvassed for him in Amritsar, I am sure he would have been pained by this decision. Captain has taken a destructive path and has been destroying himself as well as the party in Punjab.”

Bajwa accused Captain
In a row, after Bir Devinder, now Bajwa is accusing Captain for his oppressive behavior, while he visited Jallandhar with his group leaders and workers for the rally which was being organized by Captain. They were simply ignored by Captain and his team and were not allowed to speak in the rally. Not even a single microphone was given to Bajwa group of leaders in such huge rally.

Not only this, but Captain made fun of Bajwa, saying, “Bajwa is now out of Punjab politics and I am the wholly solely Incharge in Punjab.”

bajwa Captain

Arrogant Captain
This arrogant attitude of Captain had showed publicly that there is lack of respect and unity between Congress leaders. It would not be wrong to say that the party is divided in the state.

Agitated Bajwa and his group of leaders have decided to brainstorm against Captain for his egoistic and high headed attitude. On the 24th of April, there would be a function by Bajwa group to celebrate the Bajwa’s entry in Rajya Sabha, where they would teach Captain a lesson on clean Politics.

Noticeably, Bajwa group did not welcome Captain’s decision of nominating a new comer Hans Raj Hans for Rajya Sabha seat.

With this kind of leadership, the day is not far when Congress would lose its existence in Punjab.

Captain supresses voice of dissent in Congress

“While senior congress leaders have started raising their voice against the autocratic style functioning of state Congress chief Captain Amarinder Singh, Captain on other hand is firm on his stand and not willing to mend his working style for the betterment of party.”

_e1f97d2c-f697-11e5-860d-a0ffe8a3a28f.jpg

Senior Congress leader and former Deputy speaker, Bir Davinder Singh had raised his voice against the autocratic style functioning of Captain Amarinder and he had termed him as inaccessible to party cadre. Realising that other party leaders had started echoing the voice of dissent, captain took the tough stand of snubbing the voice instead of listening to party worker’s woes.

Bir Davinder gets suspended from Punjab Congress

Captain Amarinder made sure that former Deputy Speaker of the Punjab Assembly Bir Devinder Singh was suspended from the primary membership of the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee. Action was initiated against him on the orders of Captain for what was termed as indulging in “anti-party” activities and Davinder was expelled from the party with immediate effect.

Bir Davinder’s allegation against Captain

It must be noted here that senior Congress leader and Punjab media coordinator, Bir Davinder Singh had locked horns with Captain Amarinder Singh. Davinder has termed Captain as being inaccessible and raised serious questions over latter’s leadership. Bir Devinder Singh wrote a Guest Column’ in a leading newspaper expressing his doubts over Congress success in the 2017 assembly polls. Davinder publicly questioned his autocratic style of functioning and was irked for being denied the access to captain for over two months.

It must be noted here that Captain had made Davinder, the state media coordinator but still Captain didn’t give time for meeting for over two months. Davinder raised his raise against wrongdoing by predicting that Congress is loosing the battle under the leadership of Captain. But Davinder had to pay a huge price for speaking against Captain.
